Dump Truck Drivers (Application below)
We are looking for dedicated dump truck drivers to join our team. This is a full time hourly rate position, typical work week is Monday thru Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Occasional Saturdays required, shift times vary day to day based on project needs.
Requirements:
- Valid Class B Commercial Drivers License
- Valid DOT Physical (Must be submitted w/application)
- Pass Drug Test (Self Pay, Company will reimburse after 6 months of consecutive employment)
- Clean driving record (Submit current record (obtained within the last 2 weeks) with application)
- Must be 21 or older
- Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees
Responsibilities
- Transport construction materials to and from various projects in the Tri-County area
- Document and log materials delivered to each project, as well as down time
- Clean body after each load
- Maintain clean and organized vehicle
- Comply with truck driving state and federal rules and regulations, as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
- Wear safety equipment (Vest, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses when applicable) while on jobsite
- Work closely with heavy equipment
Heavy Equipment Operator (Application below)
Jimmy Richards & Sons Excavating, Inc. is looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, and experienced equipment operator to join our team.
Must have 1-5 years of experience with excavation/grading utilities experience is a plus. Projects are located within the Tri-County area (Calvert, Charles, & St. Mary's Counties) and parts of PG County and vary from Commercial Buildings to Residential Developments. Typical work weeks are Monday thru Friday from 7:00 A.M to 3:00 P.M, some extended hours and weekend work may be necessary depending on the workload and needs of the project.
Required skills:
- Excavator operating experience
- 1-5 Years utility experience, is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from jobsites within the Tri-County area (Calvert, Charles, & St. Mary's Counties) and parts of PG County
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations and the ability to adhere to them, as well as company policies & procedures
- Required to work outside in extreme weather conditions – both hot and cold
